Carill House, University of Manchester, Fallowfield Campus (Owens Park), Wilmslow Road M14 6HX.

All classes are held at Carill House (part of Oak House).

The main campus entrance for pedestrians is at Owens Park on Wilmslow road near the junction with Wilbraham Road and Moseley Road. Car parking can be found at the Armitage Centre approached by Chancellors Way off Moseley Road.

The University of Manchester's Fallowfield Campus is 3 miles from the City centre amd is well served by public transport. From City Centre, Piccadilly Gardens, bus services 41, 42, 43, 142, 143 and 57x go along the Oxford Road/Wilmslow Road corridor and pass the main entrance to Owens Park.
 

Directions to MATTS from M6

Leave M6 at Junction 19 (travelling north) or 20 (travelling south) and at the roundabout take the exit onto the A556 toward Manchester/M’cr/M56

Join the M56 and continue forward passing the exit for Manchester airport.

Continue forward at Junction 3 of the M56 and onto the A5103 towards City Centre (Manchester City Centre, Liverpool, Bolton)

Turn right at lights onto A6010 (Wilbraham Road) just after BP garage on right. (Longsight, Fallowfield Campus).

Continue across the main crossroad (Wilbraham Road/ Wilmslow Road) in Fallowfield onto Mossley Road (B5093) following signs for Armitage Sports Centre. Take the first turning left (Chancellors Way) and ask directions on campus to Oak House and Carill House. MATTS is on second floor of Carill, room 7.
 

Living in Manchester

With its award-winning museums, art galleries, theatres and international concert hall, Manchester is a vibrant and thriving artistic centre. It hosts the largest student population of any European city, yet the city is compact enough for everything to be easily accessible. Manchester is also very much an international city in terms of its restaurants, clubs and café life. There are also ample opportunities for shopping in Manchester’s rejuvenated city centre or the nearby Trafford Centre shopping mall. Another aspect of Manchester life is the easy access to spectacular countryside: the Pennines and Peak District National Park, Snowdonia National Park in Wales and the beauties of the Lake District National Park. Manchester has its own international airport and there is a regular train service to London that takes about 120 minutes.

The cost of living in Manchester is similar to that of any other European city, but accommodation and transport are generally less expensive than might be expected, and certainly much less than London. Modern student accommodation inclusive of bills can be rented for around £95 per week (see below).
